Wordless Wednesday: Fall in Florida

I just got back from my parent's garden, AKA The Rainforest Garden!  I love my balcony, but I'm incredibly grateful to my parents for allowing me to create a jungle in their yard, and I'm also very thankful that I get to use their DSLR camera.  Sure beats the cell phone!

  1. Your autumn looks a lot like ours - No coloured leaves but tibbies in bloom. Love the shot of the palm.

  2. Hi Steve...Your parents are great people to provide you with the space to indulge your passion...but that's what good parents do. Love your autumn choices!

  3. I wish my grown son would come over and create a jungle in my yard! I'd even let him use my camera. Your photographs look great. Love that lattice-like shadow on the palm fronds. And the tibouchinas are lovely.

  4. Now, I must echo Floridagirl's sentiments! That would be quite the luxury! Your parents are so fortunate to have you...it is a wonderful relationship! I'm jealous! Love looking at all your lovely flowers!!! Happy fall fun!

  5. Oh yeah, having a son work in the garden at MY house would be quite the reverse of what happens around here. Love seeing ALL your gardens. Great photos of foliage and flowers. (Love the blue-flowered vine. Is it morning glory?)

  6. Thanks for all the kind comments! Just in case you guys didn't know, my parent's yard is where my garden is. I make make the trip there every so often, but only have my balcony to call my own. At least its a wonderful balcony!

  7. NanaK:
Yup! The blue flower is morning glory! Isn't it cool how it matches the sky?

  8. Great selections and macros! I'm amazed at how many tropicals we have in common. I had a tibouchina, but it passed away years ago. The leaf veination on that plant is just as cool as the flower. Good luck with it. You already know this, but it does NOT like cold. It's root hardy most years.
